Snehabhavan

Snehabhavan is a Mission Project in health care under the Madras Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church located at Sathuvachari, roughly 3 kilometres from the world renowned Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, Tamilnadu.

The objective of Snehabhavan is to provide low-cost accommodation & hospital guidance to patients & their by-standers undergoing treatment & medical care at CMC hospital, who are physically, emotionally or economically exhausted. Snehabhavan has played host & extended services to the lost, last and least with a preferential option for the poor & the underprivileged without any discrimination of cast, colour or creed as conceived by Mar Dionysius. A Charitable Institution, the first of its kind in Vellore was established in 1990 as a mission project in health care under the Madras Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Snehabhavan is always ready to lend its helping hand round the clock to the people in need by receiving people from the Katpadi Railway Station and see them off carefully as well. Services like hospital guidance, patient navigation, Pastoral Care and Counselling are also available. The main aim is to provide holistic healing to the body, mind, and soul.
